Jim is voted Veteran Sportsman of the Year
VAC continues to be recognised for its contribution to sport locally.
Jim Clow has had many success in the 60 + age group during the year with some admirable marathon times that youngsters would be proud of.
The pinnacle of his succes was winning the Hampshire Road Race Leagues overall 60 male award.
He was nominated for the Veteran Sportsman of the Year 2011, at the Havant Borough Sports Awards 2011, for his outstanding performances in 2011, and quite deservedly is the winner of this local prestigious award.
Well done Jim and may your running be an inspiration to not only our younger members, but runners everywhere!

What We Do
As a club we meet at Havant Leisure Centre. On a Tuesday at 6:30PM, for an informal 'let's go for a run' type session and on Thursday at 6PM for an organised training session, normally taken by a SEAA qualified coach.
We compete in a wide range of on and off road events.
Ranging from traditional road races such as the Stubbington 10K and the Great South Run to the wet and boggy delights of both the Hampshire Cross Country League and 'Today's Runner' Cross-Country League.
During the summer months we organise a number of 'handicap' races designed to give all members of the club regardless of ability the chance to compete in a competition that is designed to be as even as possible.
