What We Do
As a club we meet at Havant Leisure Centre. On a Tuesday at 6:30PM, for an informal 'let's go for a run' type session and on Thursday at 6PM for an organised training session, normally taken by a SEAA qualified coach.
We compete in a wide range of on and off road events.
Ranging from traditional road races such as the Stubbington 10K and the Great South Run to the wet and boggy delights of both the Hampshire Cross Country League and 'Today's Runner' Cross-Country League.
During the summer months we organise a number of 'handicap' races designed to give all members of the club regardless of ability the chance to compete in a competition that is designed to be as even as possible.
Who We Are
Victory Athletic Club (VAC) is a small, independent friendly running club.
Formed in 1982 we are an active club, offering members varied training sessions and internal competitions, as well as opportunities to run for the club in regional team events.
The Club is based in Havant, near Portsmouth on the south of England, we have a membership of nearly 200.
Victory's Dan Bailey honoured by Havant Borough Council
Congratulations go to Dan Bailey for winning the Havant Borough Senior Sports Man of the Year Award.
Dan was nominated by the club for his herculean gold medal win in the World Long Distance Duathlon and faced some stiff and varied competition.
He won Gold in the World Long Distance Duathlon Championships in Switzerland in September last year,
this involved a 10km run followed by a 150km cycle ride and then a 30km run.
Welll Done Dan!
Dan is currently organising a new 10k race which will take place next month, as he as volunteered himself to be Race Director of the 'new' Selsey 10k.
